It's true. I've got a thang for Bad Guys.

I will choose a winner on Friday.
Good luck and have a great Monday!
Hi, Jocelyn. I have been curious about this book ever since you posted about it earlier. I am a follower of your blog - I love it! You are so inspiring and an example of the kind of mom I want to be! Today I have a thing for the General Conference Book Club at diapers and divinity. I recently discovered it, and it is so great to hear about other people's insights into the talks. Thanks from a fellow PA LDS mom!!
ReplyDeleteI bought this book just after your first post about it. I haven't stared reading it yet, but I am looking forward to it. Even my boys are excted about it...it was the first thing they told dad about when he walked in the door, after it arrived in the mail. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing this book for quite some time now. It would totally make my day to win it! Today I have a thing for the new For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. My teens brought it home from church yesterday & I'm enjoying looking through it.
ReplyDeleteOkay...so I'm pretty intrigued by this book...I followed on google friend connect (chococatania), and now I'm going to answer both questions. :)
ReplyDelete1. What I've got a "thing" for today - eating 5 fruits and veggies. I know it sounds weird, but I've made the decision to be healthier. I'm kind of bad at making changes, so instead of doing something huge I'm making little changes. At the first of the year it was drinking 8 glasses of water every day. Two weeks ago, I decided to eat 2 fruits and 3 veggies daily. In another week, I'll have a new obsession...
2. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it makes sense. I have had my questions answered. I feel the Love that Heavenly Father has for me. The gospel has infused my life with hope, even during hard times. I have learned something about myself: I am not a religious person because I like religion. If it wasn't for this gospel, I wouldn't go to any church. There are a lot of things that I'd rather be doing, but because the gospel answers my questions, comforts me, and brings me hope, I'm determined to choose the right and be a good daughter to a Heavenly Father that I know loves me.
I am a follower of your blog! I must tell you how thankful I am to have found you. You are a great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE BEING A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS! I can't imagine life without the gospel. I know Heavenly Father loves us and has a plan for us. I know that he wants us to return to him. He WANTS us to be successful. I love knowing I can talk to him and go to him for guidance any time I need to, and being a member of his church only makes sense to me.
I follow your blog... and I love it too! I am so glad to be a Mormon! It keeps me sane.... :-) I've been one my entire life and would love to win it!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, yippee.
ReplyDeleteToday I've got a thang for fractured prune donuts and the fact that they are in Lancaster.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. :)
ReplyDeleteI love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that no matter where I go there will be people that know and love the same things I do.
ReplyDeleteWhat great questions! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have a "thing" for my daughter's sugar-free brownies. Since quitting sugar in July, they keep me happy and content on the sugar-free path. :-D
And I love being a member of the LDS Church because of the peace and encouragement it brings into my life. I know that wherever I go, I can find an instant network of love and support. I know that there will always be someone who is aware of me and my family. And I know that the Lord is in constant contact with the Church leadership, both local and in Salt Lake City. What an awesome thing it is to know that the Lord cares so much about all of us!
I have been a follower for years! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a "thing" for buttons. There you forced me to out myself...just kidding. :)
I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the knowledge that gives me. I KNOW I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves ME. I CAN return to live with Him again. I WILL be together with my family for eternity IF I live worthy. What a blessing this is to me.
Oooh this looks really good and I was excited when you posted about it a while ago! I follow GFC!!!
ReplyDeleteMy thing today is wanting to breathe!! This is my second cold in two weeks and nothing I take seems to help so I am just hoping that I can breathe through the day- in more ways than just one! :)
ReplyDeleteI love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is my life! Everything I do and everything I have become is related to the gospel! It is a plan of happiness and I know that if we follow and obey our families will be together forever, we will find eternal happiness and will live with our Father in Heaven again! How wonderful is that?
ReplyDeleteThank you soo much for your blog and your testimony!
My thing for today is to look for the good qualities of the bad guys or those who seem to oppose my forward motion...
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, and today I've got a thing for the reality show called The Voice. I watched it for the first time last night, and I'm sold!
ReplyDeletePS. I love being a Mormon because it brings hope, peace, strength, knowledge, understanding, and meaning to my life.
=)
I follow you of course!
ReplyDeleteI love being LDS because it gives me direction in my life!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a thing for packing today. Moving across the country in four months! ACK!
ReplyDeleteAnd one of the many reasons why I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the instant support group. I'm terrified of moving to where we are going but I know that while we are there there will be at least this one constant. At least every Sunday I can count on my worship following the same formula no matter where I go.
ReplyDeleteI don't do all the social media stuff, so I'll go with option 3 - the thing I love most about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is my access to the temple and the ordinances for eternal families. I have really truly had people tell me that they think the doctrine of eternal marriage and families is silly and unnecessary because we won't "need" them in the next life - all we need is our connection to Jesus! This baffles me. Why would we spend our entire life on earth building our relationships with our families, just to have the rug yanked out from under us when we get to the next life? That makes no sense. And really - if I can't be in the next world with my amazing husband and our girls, and my parents and brothers and sisters and cousins and ... and ... (you get the idea) ... then how is that heaven and happy? I love love love the doctrine of eternal families!
ReplyDeleteThat was probably much longer than you wanted ... anyway, thanks for the chance to get a copy of this book. I've also been curious about it since you posted about it before.
I just started following and I enjoy the uplifting things that you post here.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for cleaning today. My house took a hit over the weekend with so many things going on, and I desperately want to get it back to normal.
I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it brings so much peace. I find so much comfort in being able to go to our Father in Heaven in prayer and knows that he hears and answers me.
Then you will LOVE this article in this month's Ensign explaining why Families exist!...to help us know the Father!

3. Why I love being LDS - it makes me happy. DOing the things I should and being a friend/doing service to others makes me happy. I like being happy.

ReplyDeleteJocelyn! Your posts about this book make me want it so much...but it's not in the budget now, so to win it would be great!
ReplyDeleteMy "thing" today is gospel-oriented games, etc. that I'm making for my kids (ages almost 10, 5 1/2 and 2 1/2). I love finding fun things they can do that are also reinforcing gospel principles (finch family games, sugardoodle and pinterest are my helpers/enablers).

Today I have a thing for Brandon Sanderson's Alloy of Steel book. It's really good. I don't have a thing for cleaning up the bathroom and the little boy who peed all over himself as an accident. I have empathy for him, and I know he didn't mean to...but I just don't have a thing for that today. I am a follower as well.
ReplyDeleteI have the Kindle version and have loved every moment of it. I found such insight within the pages.
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused by Google Friend Connect. Can I follow you if I don't have my own active blog?
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for H. B. Moore's Book of Mormon fiction and for scriptures on CD.
I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know who I am, where I came from, where I want to go, and how best to get there.
Also, I'm not a PA lds mom, but I was a PA LDS child and teen. My mother is a PA LDS mom. :)

ReplyDeleteToday I have a thang for chocolate. Okay, that is EVERY day!
ReplyDeleteThis book looks so interesting; wouldn't it be fun to focus on some of the good guys and bad guys of the Book of Mormon for FHE's?
ReplyDeleteI've been following your awesome blog with your exceptional ideas for a while now!
I have a thing for...
ReplyDeleteDark chocolate. The darker the better. I tried some dark chocolate sea salt fudge on Saturday when the family went on a road trip to my in-law's, and it was A-mazing! My new favorite chocolate. Which is saying a lot...
I've never seen this book before but I'm pretty sure we would love it around here. We love the BOM, so it just stands to reason that we would love that book too. I want to win...

I have a thing for full pantries this morning. I went massive grocery shopping just me and my two boys (4 and 1). My hubby usually goes too, but I comparative shopped and saved a bunch of money. Now I have a thing for taking a break and relaxing while my 4yo is in preschool. Thinking about grabbing a book and settling in while the other naps.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused if we leave one coment or two ... I'm a follower AND I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because .. it offers truth and security!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I love being LDS because I know the teachings and council help me to lead a good life. I love the scriptures and going to church and all of that. But when it comes down to it, without the gospel, I wouldn't know how to live!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower! I have been stalking you for quite some time, I guess it was time to make it official ;)
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for big grins and laughs from my kids. I have been playing with them all day!
ReplyDeleteI love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the joy it has brought into my life. Even in the midst of trials, I have always felt the support of my Heavenly Father and come out a stronger person for it. I love the gospel!
ReplyDelete1. I am a follower!
ReplyDelete2. Today I've got a thing for health! One of my daughters is sick and I'm diligently playing nurse to keep it from getting worse.
3. I love being a member of the LDS church because it gives me the direction and motivation each day to be my best!
I'm really loving being a member of the Church right now because I KNOW my family can be together forever. Some friends lost their 6 year old daughter on Sunday. It's so sad, but what is tragic is they don't believe this beautiful truth. I love your blog, Jocelyn. When my sadness subsides, I know I'll enjoy reading this book.
ReplyDeleteI love to be a member of the church ´cause I´m always learning how to be a better women, better wife, better mother....

ReplyDeleteI'm a follower! I want to read this book so badly! I have a new thing for juicing. I love anything that will make me healthy and strong.
ReplyDeleteBeing a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my testimony of it is the most precious thing I have. It makes me happy, it give me hope, and makes me want to try a little harder each and every day. I can't imagine my life without it.
Awesome giveaway and blog!
Ooohhh, pick me pick me!! Today I have a thang for Zumba, and for trying to keep moving all day. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have been able to learn of the truth and gain a personal relationship with Heavenly Father. I have been able to indulge in the amazing words of Christ, His love for us and learn of His atoning sacrifice for ME & everyone on this earth. I am able to grasp the concept of true love in serving those around me and to forget myself. I love being able to have a living prophet to guide and lead us in these latter-days. I love that families are forever and strive to be the best I can be so my family and I can reach our eternal goals and reach our greatest potential. Because I know the truth, I love being able to share this wonderful gospel to all those who are willing to accept God's true church. I love knowing that God's plan is a perfect plan and in this life I hope to become a better person each and every day.
ReplyDeleteYou always have such fun ideas! I've got a thing today for Five Guys cheeseburgers. Pretty much everyday I have a thing for them. Except today it's only 10 am and I want one now. Too bad I can only have them once every other month or so...but maybe having them rarely makes them all the more awesome to my taste buds.
ReplyDeleteRight now I've got a thing for owls! I bought a cute owl pillow to decorate my baby's nursery. Last year I bought an owl neclace from LivyLou designs ( which I discovered on your blog). My daughter and I had a fun day at the mall and purchased some owl rings and bracelets. And I'm having an owl-themed first birthday party for my baby girl, complete with an owl fondant cake!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower! :D I have a thing for dark chocolate pretzels and dark chocolate hot chocolate. Yum! Non food related I have a thing for good books. I am currently reading Elantris and it's pretty good!

ReplyDeleteI love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it's just Right. It makes everything Right for me.
ReplyDeleteThis book looks very cool by the way. We have just started reading the Book of Mormon as a family in a 100 day challenge. Today is day 8 and boy was it hard to get up early this morning to read for 45+ minutes! It's not that bad in retrospect, what's 45 minutes of sleep compared to the blessings of reading with the family?
Just found your blog through a friend-just what I needed! Today I have a thing for Swedish fish. Or chocolate. Still haven't figured out which.
ReplyDeleteI follow.
ReplyDeleteFamily.....and memories of family.
