Melanie of Sugardoodle mentioned these Articles of Faith puzzles by Heather Baer last week.
UPDATE: I found an updated link for this puzzle as many of you have asked! Click on the words "Articles of Faith puzzles" above and then click on "Articles of Faith Puzzles (All) to download the PDF of this AOF puzzle.
I'm so glad that I printed them out and compiled them, because they are awesome!
I like the "spacial awareness" aspect of the puzzles and they are fun for young readers to decipher the familiar phrases mixed with words that they already know.
My kids and I are enjoying them--Guy is enjoying reading them, in particular.
I had a cute video of him reading #9, but it won't come off of my camera, so you'll just have to settle for this very satisfied look on his face.
Have a great Friday!
A bright and creative way to learn the Articles of Faith.

awesome! what a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThey looked laminated. Do you have a home laminator? Do you have recommendations? Thanks, these are great.
ReplyDeleteThese will be perfect to add to my sunday box! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea! Does Autumn memorize too? I want to start working with my 2 year old on memorizing the Articles of Faith but I am having a hard time finding good ideas, other than the Primary songs...
ReplyDeleteanother great idea...
ReplyDeleteI love that you printed them out on bright colored paper. Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI also wrote the puzzle numbers on the back of the pieces before laminating them! Still have to figure out how I'll store them though...little baggies?
ReplyDeleteAutumn tends to learn by osmosis, but in the next year, I'll be reteaching her everything that I did for the other kids. Scarlett goes to kindergarten in the fall, so it'll be just me and Autumn. I realized that I have been thinking "Autumn missed out" because she was so young when I did things like the FP lessons...however, now I think she probably learned best and the most being that she was so young and probably soaked it all in as a much higher rate than all of us. Never underestimate their innocent spirits!
ReplyDeleteI need to see what else is in your sunday box! :)
ReplyDeleteI use the Duck Brand laminator that I bought at Walmart about 7 years ago for like $20. It has held up really well and did everything asked of it! It's now starting to malfunction just a bit, but still does a pretty great job. It didn't like when I was trying to laminate snowflakes for YW last month. I think that the paper was too thin. I read something randomly online about some "purple" laminator that was highly recommended. I'll let you know if I get it!
ReplyDeletegood for adults too actually! STrangely enough!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love bright colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks,Lin!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I am excited to make them.=)
