Keeping Track of Days

I'm coming to you live from my new office.  Yes, my new house has a tiny little office right off of the kitchen, and you know I love that.  Yaya!  No more battling office supplies mixed with baking essentials or hoping that dishwater doesn't migrate over to where my laptop is sitting!  Hallelujah!  Yet I'm still in the mix when I have to run over to check email or print off some coloring pages.

Anyway, for Valentine's Day, I finally got around to making this rotating calendar/index card journal that I pinned on Pinterest a while back.  The way that it works is you just jot down something neat that happens each day and move the index card to the back.  As the years pass, I imagine it will be fun to relive what happened the year (or years before) and to see my kids' handwriting and revel in their sweet childhood experiences.  Like a few weeks ago when Guy wrote "today, I played with Max & Logan in our secret forest that no one owns."  I can only just imagine...

    1. YEs, well, we'll see how that goes...I keep telling the kids OUT...that's mommy's space! But Mommy has so many fun pens and soon art supplies...just gotta figure out a way to make a little art and paper station for the kids--outside of my office-- that will make their stuff accessible and my office less alluring! :) But it is great!

    2. Oh yes, and it's more of a cubicle than an office, but I'd like to think of it as "The corner office!!!" Why not?

  3. Wow, I think that is awesome that you have an office. I have my own office too. We converted our two upstairs bedrooms to two office one for me and one for my husband. He still works fulltime so he can work from home; it is so wonderful.
I loved your idea and think my daughters would love it.
    Blessings!

  6. We've had our "perpetual calendar" (although we call it a family almanac) for over ten years now. It really is a fun way to remember the little things that happen over the years. Enjoy your new home and your own office!
