Today is my daughter's birthday so I have automatically been doing nice things for her. Yesterday, I gave a friend our Sit and Stand stroller for the upcoming birth of her second baby.

ReplyDeleteWe are delivering treats to Primary teachers tonight!
ReplyDeletelooks like fun simple projects. I was remaking some curtains today and thought of all my grand daughters who don't know how to sew hand or machine. It's a dying skill. I do follow your blog daily.
ReplyDeleteI am already a follower and today I let my son check out a movie from the library and play there for 20 minutes! I thought that was a pretty nice thing from mom :) Cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence, we actually DID have FHE about serving others and then brought our friends some FHE treats! (I have to admit, it was s little selfish though, I needed the treats out of my house!! lol!)

ReplyDeleteI spent the day helping my Mom (cleaning house, doing laundry, wrapping presents) who is going through Chemo.
Tonight I actually DID do a FHE lesson on service - then I skyped with family out of state and let them oooh and ahh over my baby girl :) They thought it was awfully nice!
ReplyDeleteI posted this about the reason for the season! http://latg.blogspot.com/2011/12/reason-for-season.html

ReplyDeleteWe did talk about service in FHE. :)
ReplyDeleteFor FHE we talked about what kindness we would do during the month as our gift to Jesus.
ReplyDeleteHey....did you know I am a follower? Lol!
ReplyDeleteAnd I brought cheer to my daughter today after I apologized to her for getting more upset with her after she was being especially difficult and disobedient! Even though her behavior was not acceptable for our family, I told her I still let myself get upset and I knew it hurt her feelings. She smiled so big when I told her i was sorry. She said sorry to me as well, and we both ended our night more cheered. What a great teaching moment for me, to learn that as a parent, I can say sorry more often to my kids, and it is a good feeling seeing the healing and happiness that takes place because of meekness and humility.
