Just 30 Days


You might have noticed that I like to do things in 30 day increments:  30 Days of Service Boot Camp, 30 Days for the Family Proclamation, 30 days of Christmas Crafting, and 30 Days to Read The Book of Mormon.  


30 days just seems like a nice neat way to accomplish a goal. It's long enough to create a habit, and short enough to be able to see an end in sight.  


My husband Steve brought this talk to my attention, about the wisdom of trying new goals out for 30 days.  I totally agree.  Watch the message above.  It's only 3 minutes long.

  2. Excellent way to start my day! Thanks Jocelyn...for the next 30 days I am going to wake up early. I used to do it and got out of the habit with the crazy health issues and things we have been dealing with for the last few months. Life turned into sleep when you can and as long as you can because you don't know when you'll get to again. Early mornings were my scripture & exercise time and I miss that. Trying to do it as a lifetime change seems so huge but I know I can do it for 30 days. (And I'm pretty sure it will stick this time around!)

  3. I want to read or listen to one general conference talk a day for 30 days!

    And I want to spend 30 dedicated minutes learning each day. I love to learn but having as many projects as I do can suck ALL of my free time if I let it!

  4. I am going to start drinking a green smoothie every morning. My friend did this and has lowered her blood pressure and blood sugar. The same thing has happened to an online friend's husband.

    Hope it happens to me, too! (The secret is lots of kale, so they say.)

  6. I want to lose weight (again) and eat healthier. I also would love to memorize the family proclamation. I am going to work on this!
