Womanhood: That big awesome club

I kind of don't want to post anything, because I'd like Easter to linger for just a little while longer.  Everything that I think about saying to you, seems to pale in comparison with all of the great testimonies from our Easter Blog Party.

You know, on Saturday nearly 4,000 people came to my site...say what???
Looking for Easter stuff to do with their families, no doubt.
I'm glad.

By now you should be aware of the fact that I live in Pennsylvania, but did you know that it is the state with the lowest number of Mormons per capita?  Blogging gives a Mormon woman like me access to every other Mormon woman...every other Christian woman...every other mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who wants just what I do...to feel connected, to be inspired, and to make the most of every day.

I think about all of you who have dropped by to see me since I began blogging.
Most of you, I don't know in real life.
But I know You, surely, I do.

You are women just like me:
hard-working, big-dreaming, righteously-scheming
WOMEN.

As members of Club Womanhood, we support each other, encourage and inspire one another as we aspire to fulfill the all-important, God-given roles of our lives that have been tailor-made for each one of us.

So to the 4,000 of you who visited me on Saturday, I say, thank you, and to the 15,000 or so other individuals who have stopped by to leave a word of support and encouragement over the last year or two, I say OBRIGADA!

I'd like to be able to get to know you each better, so please leave me a comment with your blog so I can hop on over and return the favor.

Have a great day!
(I'm off to register Guy for kindergarten!!)

  1. I typically don't comment on people's blogs but I just wanted to tell you how much you inspire me.

A few months ago I happened upon your blog (I don't even remember how). It was when you were ending the spotlights for the Family Proclamation. I noticed that one of the people who wrote a post was one of my friends. Turns out it is your sister Cara Kennedy. She and I attend the same date night group. Love her!

Anyway, I have since been following your blog and it is so inspiring. We are slowly working our way through the Family Proclamation and I really loved all the little things you did to bring Christ into Easter.

Thank you for taking the time to write this blog. It really does make a difference. If you ever come visit your sister, I would love to meet you.

    Have a great day!

  2. As you know I have been coming since the Family celebration.

I don't come because I like you, (although that is a big thing for me...I don't keep going somewhere if I don't like them) I come because you are amazing.

Your blog is a place to be inspired and uplifted. I appreciate that.

Keep going. We all love it, that is why we come.

  6. What a positive, fist-pumping post! I feel like I did when Sheri Dew used to speak at Conference. We are righteous women -- hear us roar :)

I appreciate finding so many women who share similar values and perspectives, as well as those amazing women who I'm growing to love who are different.

  10. As an adult convert to the church, one of the things that amazed me was how cohesive the women are. In my pre-church life, the women I knew were catty and competitive. There was little lifting up of each other, unless the lifter also had something to gain. Since joining the church, I have met many other wonderful non-LDS woman so I know this is not so much an LDS thing, but it is lovely none-the-less.

  21. Your testimony is refreshing and you make me feel so not a lone sometime even in this great sister hood we have there are some of us. Who try to just who we are and stand still not trying to say that we are better by what do or don't do we are just trying to be who we are and live true to our savior. Thanks so much for helping me feel not so a lone :0)
