Well, faithful readers, you've convinced me...I'm going with the BLUE Article of Faith print from Type Type Type! And YOU....SHAUNA...Commenter #21 WIN whichever one you choose, either the blue or multi-colored! Shauna agreed with many of you when she said: "I'd choose blue...but they are both absolutely beautiful!" Many of you just adored all of the prints at Type Type Type, so hurry on over there and make your selection. While you are there, thank Michelle for the sweet giveaway!
Now, a number of you have expressed interest in my quest to read the entire Book of Mormon in 30 Days that I did leading up to Easter last year. Well, if you aren't quite that ambitious, here is an alternative for YOU.
Starting now: Read just 5 pages of the Book of Mormon every day and you will have completed the book by Easter (April 24th).
And what will you learn by reading this sacred text? Among other things, you will experience the love of Jesus Christ, a love that "pierces all darkness, softens all sorrow, and gladdens every heart." Not a bad deal at all.
Yeah for Shauna! A giveaway is always fun! Thanks for the invite. I'm working on something before my birthday and then will tackle the next book of scripture. Hurray for challenges and goals from friends! They keep me on my toes!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so excited. Thanks so much Jocelyn.
ReplyDeletethe challenge is on!
ReplyDeleteok
ReplyDeleteI'm in on the challenge. This is just the kick in the pants I've needed.

ReplyDeleteI am taking your Book of Mormon challenge.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to Shauna...
=)
We are doing this with our Young Women in our ward. We are having a huge kick off and then at the end of the 100 days those that have completed it will be treated to a VERY nice dinner and testimony meeting. I'm so excited. The project for the value of Virtue is to read the Book of Mormon. I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteI'm in.... your posts have touched my heart- thanks for sharing yourself and your testimony!
ReplyDeleteAh...finally able to comment. Just wanted you to know that you and I knew each other in the pre- existence. Ok, so that may not be pure doctrine, but, I am a mother of four living the exact same life with the same powerful efforts to raise a family to the Lord. Great to have found your site and wanted to send out the invite to check ours anytime you like.

Sound good, but I'm studying the D&C this year!
ReplyDeleteI'm up for the challenge! I am much better at studying when I have a set goal like this. And it helps if my husband and I can work on it together - peer pressure. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get through the New Testament right now! I'm not so ambitious though - I am doing about two pages every night - baby steps here! We read from the Book of Mormon as a family in the morning but with young readers we only sometimes make it through six verses. At this rate we'll be done in 2014! :) But as you mentioned Elder Bednar's talk . . . so true . . . it is being consistent that is important!
ReplyDeleteIt is you Shauna!!! Funny!
ReplyDeleteShauna is a fellow Canadian, we went to high school in Alberta together, then I joined the church and she was in our ward.
Then what, 11 or 12 years later moved to the same stake as we lived in, and now I see her winning on one of my favourite blogs...
I love the blog universe!
I'm so in.
ReplyDeleteI'm joining

Let's do it! The last time I read the Book of Mormon by myself and not with my family was when The Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passed away. I think it is time to start a new challenge!
