Children Welcome Here.

In our home, Children are definitely welcome.  And recently, I've been trying to make sure that the functionality of our home reflects that.  So, in that vein, I added an extra rod in our front hall closet for the children to hang up their own coats.  I think this will really help keep us sane this winter and help the kids feel some ownership over their things.  I used the Mainstays Closet Space Expander from Walmart for $12.

I'll be back tomorrow with the winner of the Thanksgiving poster!

  1. Great idea! When my kiddos were little, we used a row of cute at-their-level pegs because I knew they wouldn't do the hanger bit, and I quickly grew tired of them too!

  4. We've done the same thing only with a shower curtain rod. It hasn't fallen yet but I like your solution better. making their lives world as easy to function in as ours is so important.

  6. We do the same thing only using hooks. It does help them take care of their stuff better.
