Day 7 – “A Die” to remind us that the soldiers “cast lots” for Christ’s clothing
And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
And sitting down they watched him there;
And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS”
my friend who visited me this weekend and is my age said she did this project with her kids when they were growing up. Somehow this idea never made it my way but I think it's very timely and important at easter to remember what it's all about. good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lin - My very first VT companion and I did this years ago for the sisters we taught and I have always wanted to do it again. It just so much more relevant...but candy is nice too! :) My children are really enjoying it!
