great list-you'd make a terrific children's librarian-guess you are one!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Our favorite is Santa and the Christ Child. Best ever, bring some tissues!
ReplyDeleteI always love your lists. You have got to check out Mortimer's Christmas Manger. So so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLucky 4 (or about 4) :D Thanks for all of the book suggestions! Here's hoping I strike it big! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list...unfortunately, I've only read about four of them. We will have to remedy that this year! Thanks for the list!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, we need to head to the library.
ReplyDeleteThe library bus comes tomorrow. I will get about 20 books just for Christmas. We might just might get a craft too.
ReplyDeleteI love your list. I'm not sure how funny kids would think it is, but one of our Christmastime faves is The Lump of Coal by Lemony Snicket. We laugh every time we read it (and I'm not a LOL type of reader :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome list! A couple of my favorites are 'Jolly Old Santa Claus" by Sparkie, and Mary Engelbreit's "A Merry Little Christmas." Both visually wonderful children's books. So beautiful that I love reading them by myself:)
ReplyDeleteMany of these are favorites of mine, too. You always seem to have an excellent book list! And I always seem to find something to purchase on it...
ReplyDelete;)
Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to hunt some of these down. :) Pinned it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful list. There as just so many great Christmas books out there to choose from. We brought home a haul of about 25 books from the library yesterday. Between those and the books we already have in the house we have plenty of Christmas reading! Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI love The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, also. I get choked up every time I read it out loud.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the Donkey's Dream! Great post and list.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are not an "Anti-Santa-ite". Your approach is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is "Mortimer's Christmas Manger." It's so sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! It was so much fun to see my picture book HUMPHREY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS included on your list of the Best Christmas Books for Young Children 2011!!!! There is a page for Humphrey up on my web site and the new book trailer has just been released. You can check it out here: http://www.carolheyer.com/humphreys-page.html
