We've just returned from the most amazing two weeks in Colorado.
I told you a bit about our experiences in week one...week two was just as special.
Although, I don't feel that I can share too much detail...I have been so touched by the impressions I've had from the spirit and to feel so loved by this family that has taken me in as one of their own.
I'll always remember when my sister-in-law put her arm around me and said, "I love you, and I admire you so much!" I'll always remember watching my husband and my brother-in-law placing their hands on my father-in-law's head to bless him as we all looked on. I'll always remember sitting at the table coloring and overhearing another SIL direct her son to observe the beautiful way that the sun was coming through the clouds and testifying that this is how she imagines the sky will look when Jesus comes again.
The last two weeks have been so beautiful to me...such a comfort that has encouraged me, helped me to feel loved, and given me hope for the kind of family that I can help create too.
When I returned home, I had a CD waiting for me from LDS singer/songwriter Justin Cash.
It's called "Beautiful World." (Now that's my kind of title!)
I'm not ready to review the entire CD just yet, but track 12 "No Sorrow in Jesus" just blew my mind this morning. It's so simple, yet so powerful...and has an awesome groove to it.
I wanted to share the lyrics with you, because they really touched me, and they sum up the feeling I have after spending two weeks with this family that I love.
Enjoy! And I'm sure I'll be sharing more about Justin Cash with you soon!
There is no sorrow in Jesus
There is no sorrow in this world
There is no sorrow in Jesus
Only hope and promise in his word
There is no sunshine without Jesus
There is no sunlight in this world
There is no sunshine without Jesus
Only dark and lonely is the road
In this world, there will be suffering
In this world, there will be grief
There is one whose hand is oh so strong
And he will bring relief
There is no sorrow in Jesus
There is no sorrow in this world
There is no sorrow in Jesus
Only hope and promise in his word
