Yesterday, we ventured out into the heat to maybe hit the farmer's market and instead, we stumbled upon the library's annual book sale. After waiting in the sweltering heat for an hour for the sale to start, we walked out of there with what I'd consider a major win....a bag full of about 65 books for $20. I think that comes to about 30 cents per book.
Guy started picking out western novels and he slipped this little darling into our bag, which I didn't notice until we returned home to examine our finds. It's a book about the Mormon Battalion, which Steve and I both have family ties to. Totally worth waiting in the hot sun! ;) But seriously this will be a fun mommy/son read for my little soldier-loving Guy...that is, if he can sit through it! He seems more interested at acting the battles out!
cool, I have a Mormon Battalion member also. Although he's a step grandparent-they count!

What a neat find! That's a pretty great deal on books. I'll have to check if any of our libraries are doing book sales!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for you to tell us how it is!
ReplyDeleteI have family that went in the group. The Battalion stopped in our town here and a monument is erected in the city square for their travels and the compassion of the people here to help their band.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful find!!
ReplyDeleteLibrary book sales are so much fun, you feel like you leave with a bag full of treasure! Happy reading!
