Hopefully, you've had some success finding addresses for the people you would like to write to this month for Service Boot Camp. If you are not quite sure about the address you are using, you can use this trick to help you in your search. Mail the letter to the address that you have, but write "forwarding address requested" or "address correction requested" on the envelope. This alerts the post office to the fact that you would like to receive the updated address for this person. If the letter can be forwarded to the recipient, you will also receive notification of the new address. If the letter is returned to you, you will receive a sticker on your letter noting the forwarding address, so you can try again. Basic, right? I just thought it should be said! The Postal Service is so old school. I love it!
Today, one of you lucky Service Boot Campers will receive your own customized return address rubber stamp like the one shown above from The Inkorporated.
They have a variety of really unique styles to choose from,
and thanks to Andrea at Inkorporated, you'll get your pick!

Hi Jocelyn
ReplyDeleteI like them all what a great idea. and they are cute too instead of the same olsd sticker returned address.
My favorite is the Fancy Western style font like the Presley one
I plan on writing 4 letters to day, one for a sick friend, one for a friend going through a hard time, one for my Mum, and one for a friend who I have been meaning to thank for a long time
I also plan on putting little notes in the pockets of the dresses I am making , but that won"t be today.
Sorry I didn't leave separate comments.
ReplyDeleteso the above is for my favorite stamp.
This one is for the Letter to My sick friend

ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned how much I love all the little shops you are introducing us to?
ReplyDeleteI like #5, but I thin they are all great.
ReplyDeleteI have been giving the girls little Valentines every day since the first and Saturday they each got a box of stationary. So, we have been practicing our letter writing this month. Does it count if I helped write three letter yesterday?
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm not an "offical" boot camp participant, you've encouraged me to do some letter writing, so thanks. :)

ReplyDeleteI really love the frank Lloyd one..so streamlined. Fantastic giveway! It would be so fun to win;) Especially considering I just moved and all my address return labels that I bought before Christmas are pointless now;)
ReplyDeleteI can't decide between 0002 and 0005. They are all so cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic giveaway! And I'm kind of a dunce... I had no idea that the post office would both forward your letter and notify you of the new address. Old school win!
ReplyDeleteI like the western stlye font the best...its so crisp and organic looking.
ReplyDeleteWe are moving soon, so it would be fun to have a stamp to let everyone know our new address.

ReplyDeleteI wrote and put it in the mail box.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which one I like. It depends on my mood and the moment.
ReplyDeleteA comment from Benjamin Franklin on sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
