I recently noticed that I am getting dangerously close to having 500 friends of my blog on Google Friend Connect! That's quite a milestone for my little blog. Just over a year ago, I only had about 20 friends, and they were all friends and family who I BEGGED to follow me!
So, in preparation to welcome friends 496,497,498,499, and 500...
I thought I'd look back at friends 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Lin, the author, teacher, poet
Friend #1: My first true blue follower and blog friend was my Aunt Lin, a wonderful writer, faithful commenter, and free blog-advice giver!
Thank you, Lin!
My Cherry - goofing with her girls!
Friend #2: Cherry was an early participant in my blog. She entered my General Conference challenge when almost no one else did! That meant a lot to me. And since then she's become my snail mail pen pal! Cherry is a mother of two beautiful teenagers living in NYC. She could use your love and comments, so go see her at her blog!
Dad & Mom
Friends #3 & 4: My Mom & Sister Dawn who were my only family members who read and participated in my Sewing Smackdown, encouraged me to do my first giveaway, and served with me in my first Service Boot Camp (and others that followed).
Millie with her grand-girls
Friend #5: Close family friend Millie, who has cut my hair for years and years, who took such great care of my grandpa before he died, who makes every place more beautiful and special.
Thank you, Millie! :)
And there are more...like Margot from The Old School, and my SILs Renae & Somer, and my good friend Kristin....all of my fellow Boot Campers, and Family Proclamation Celebrators, but I'll stop there for now.
When GFC reaches 500, I would like to spotlight readers 496, 497, 498, 499, and 500....
So if that's YOU....send me an email!!! jocelyn (dot) christensen (at) gmail (dot) com.
