The Sacrament Symbolizes Christ's Sacrifice - Easter Countdown Day 1

Day 1 – A Small Cracker representing the Last Supper

 Matthew 26:26-28

“And as they were eating, Jesus took breadand blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.  And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

3 Nephi 20: 3-4, 6-8

  “And it came to pass that he brake bread again and blessed it, and gave to the disciples to eat.

  And when they had eaten he commanded them that they should break bread, and give unto the multitude.”

 “Now, there had been no bread, neither wine, brought by the disciples, neither by the multitude; But he truly gave unto them bread to eat, and also wine to drink.  And he said unto them: He that eateth this bread eateth of my body to his soul; and he that drinketh of this wine drinketh of my blood to his soul; and his soul shall never hunger nor thirst, but shall be filled.”

 3 Nephi 26: 13

  “Therefore, I would that ye should behold that the Lord truly did teach the people, for the space of three days; and after that he did show himself unto them oft, and did break bread oft, and bless it, and give it unto them.”

  2. Any chance you could email me a list of things you're putting in the eggs? I'd love to do this along with you! :)

  3. This is absolutely amazing! My family started something like this. We found a red colored egg and inside placed a picture of Jesus (either on the cross or at the tomb). We told our son that the reason it's red is to represent the blood of Christ that he so willingly gave for us! I LOVE this idea and will now be incorperating it into our Easter celebration as well! Thank you so much for sharing!
